چکیده

A considerable amount of research has been conducted on factors distinguishing between students who are at risk for dropping out of high school compared to those who graduate. This study examined attitudes regarding compliance and ratings of the importance of classroom rules for interaction among students from schools varying in dropout rates. A survey was distributed to over 200 students at three high schools differing in dropout rates. Results indicate some gender and ethnic group differences in attitudes about rule compliance and the importance of various classroom rules. Implications regarding the attitudes toward classroom rules are discussed. Classroom Rules 2
